Tailbone really sore when I sit, stand up, sit, apply pressure – except once I'm up and walking?
I've been doing Pilates for a few months now and I've noticed it once I got the mat appropriate for Yoga/Pilates a couple of months ago.
My best friend also had the same problem 2 years ago from doing Pilates, and it ended up being a pretty big cyst. She had to get it popped and drained – expaining it detail how it was the most painful thing she's ever had done to her.
I haven't done the workout for a week now to see if it subsides, but it doesn't seem to be. I don't want to go to the doctor either, just wondering if I could do something do make it go away or to find out what it is exactly. I don't think it changes in size and I don't feel a bump like on my friend's tailbone.
AAHHHH – I just sneezed and oh my GOSH the pain!!!
Sounds more like a bruised or fractured tail bone to me.

Sore tailbones can be from too much strain, or from cysts, or because it's broken (during giving birth, for example). If it hurts BAD, go to a doctor. If it's just a little sore and goes away with motion — get up and move. Sometimes mine hurts, too, but it always goes away.

See a chiropractor.

Check it out with a chiropractor. May daughter had this and it had been broken during childbirth. Apparently common. She had put up with it for ages and it got worse when 6 mths pregnant with 2nd child.

Look through these websites to see if this describes anything else you may be feeling. I would also set up an appointment with a chiropractor. You'll feel better! And most insurance policies cover it.
